In my experience it can be very difficult to get even decent scans of many paintings. I've had a bit of luck with wikiart.org on occasion. The ARC also has some serviceable images. They seems to have a site, albeit crap, some socials, and not awful liquidity so winged on a small amount. Not much, just enough to be annoyed about hence the post.
