Totally regional dependent. Check out the website 'winnie.com'. If they serve your area you can see which daycares have 'openings available now'. In my area major metropolitan there are a ton of openings - you call them a year in advance and they say 'call me a few months before'. For time tracking I lean on Time Sink. If you want something more manual then I feel like there are a zillion task-tracking timers out there but I couldn't point you to any one in particular. Wikipedia says Toggl has an OSX app so maybe you wanna look at that one first. Source: over 2 years ago
