I was recommended this app last week and I'm thrilled with the concept and execution behind it! This has the potential to completely change social media as we know it! I m not involved in the product but if the maker is reading this, thanks for all your great work! I think you are building something big here and wish you only the best and much success!
Based on our record, Diaspora should be more popular than WireMin. It has been mentiond 29 times since March 2021. However, one common criticism of the Fediverse, when compared to peer-to-peer networks like Nostr, Scuttlebutt, and WireMin, is that it may eventually "recentralize," similar to how client/server models tend to do. (There're already signs of that with a few instances, but we’re still very far from them to be centers.). Source: 9 months ago
Https://wiremin.org/ They claim to be a decentralized Twitter that does not collect any user data. I downloaded it, and it did not ask for my phone number or email address to create an account. The software is fully end-to-end encrypted using a peer-to-peer network, which makes it a secure chat app. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago

Maybe if reddit manages to kill itself, one of the decentralized projects like diaspora will expand. Source: about 1 year ago
I remember making similar comments about Diaspora vs Facebook a decade ago, but people are... lazy. Yeah, let's go with lazy. Source: over 1 year ago
To be fair, its not Mastodon, its the #Fediverse. Mastodon is arguably the least rich platfrom on the 'verse. IMHO Friendica is where its at, and you can still communicate with all the twitter refugees on Mastodon, as well as meater content on services likeDiaspora*, not to mention full integration with Lemmy (which works fairly similar to Reddit) while Masto you can see lemmy posts and replies without having to... Several upstarts have tried to capture what you're talking about. Diaspora was an early entry, the Fediverse is another that seems to be gaining momentum in a way Diaspora never did. Source: over 1 year ago
