I use the yur.fit app and the numbers it estimates for me are consistent with what the VRHI says. Source: about 2 years ago
Personally, I bought a basic heart rate strap that connects wirelessly to my PC, and use a free VR app called YUR Fit that tracks the data and gives me an overlay in-game that shows the numbers on-screen as I play. Many fitness games even have built-in support for YUR. If you go this route, make sure that you research which monitors work with what. A good, safe recommendation is a Polar strap. Finally, have a look at the yur.fit app that tracks your calories based on the motions you do with your hardware. I've found it to be a great motivation tool when it comes to getting in regular workouts. Good luck! Source: over 2 years ago

I struggle with similar feelings. For desk/at home work, the Focusmate app (focusmate.com) has been a huge help. It kind of single-handedly helped me earn back trust in myself. You get 1:1 virtual coworking sessions with another user where you follow a friendly entry/exit protocol, tell each other what your plans are and how it went at the end, and keep your camera on the whole time while you work (usually muted).... Maybe you can get your company to create a Focusmate group or a discord channel? If you haven’t heard of Focusmate you should definitely check it out. I wfh and absolutely could not do so without it. It gives me a fix for interaction but not too much to get me distracted and it also helps remind me to take breaks. Source: about 1 year ago
