Zabbix has been part of my toolbox for quite some time. I can easily say it's an indispensable tool for me now.
Managing a dozen servers without Zabbix would be unimaginable. I'm monitoring all of this: CPU, Memory, Hard-drives, website response times, downtime. The UI might be a bit "old school", but everything works flawlessly.
With regards to hard-drive monitoring, I love the machine learning option that allows you to "predict" the number of days before running out of space. That's quite helpful, as I've got some of my servers down due to running out of space multiple times in the past (before I was using Zabbix).
Flent might be a bit more popular than Zabbix. We know about 7 links to it since March 2021 and only 5 links to Zabbix. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.

Hallo, do you know a howto to install zabbix on an ubuntu 20.04 ? I tried the manuals from zabbix.com for MySQL Apache but it didn't work. Source: about 2 years ago
He suggested that I indeed should set up a home-lab. To be specific he said that I should create a minimal install of Centos 8 and install zabbix server on it (https://zabbix.com) and monitor a whole bunch of other VMs, services and stuff.. He said that I should set up a variety of VMs and also maybe host a website on one of them. And then if I was able to do that, I could help to share a load of zabbix related... Flent (Flexible Network Tester) is a powerful network testing utility that aims to simplify the process of gathering and analyzing network performance metrics. Built on top of other open-source tools like Netperf, Iperf, and Ping, Flent automates the process of running multiple tests simultaneously and aggregates the results into comprehensive, easy-to-interpret graphs. Flent's ability to run various tests in... Source: about 1 year ago
Hmm... It does not take much packet loss to slow tcp down at that rate. A better test would run longer than waveform, like the flent.org tcp_ndown test. Source: almost 2 years ago
Also most of our web based tests do not last long enough to show the full extent of the problem. Waveform, while pretty good, doesn't test up and down simultaneously, nor does it last long enough. I've put out a few measurements here or there about what Starlink looks like over time, such as most recently, over here: https://github.com/mininet/mininet/issues/1119 - long term spikes for "Working latency" on...
