All in-game graphics settings were set at their minimums and all optional overlays were turned off. Clips were taken from separate runs to framerate data since screen recording can have a big impact on performance. The Fraps software was used to collect framerate data, using the same single-round mode for consistency ('Swept Away' with ca. 40 players). Source: almost 2 years ago
Thats totally strange, because when you say 'lag' I assume you mean the frame rate? (you can get a free version of fraps to verify that its happening: https://fraps.com/) A problem with frame rate MUST be to do with the GPU, but we don't change anything after the first turn. Drawing the polls screen in turn 1 or turn 301, it makes no difference to what out code does :(. It might be that in your case the game is... Source: about 2 years ago
If you're on Steam, you can enable it there ( HowToGeek - HowTo ) If not, then you can download something like FPS Monitor or Fraps. Source: over 2 years ago

I use Fraps myself: https://fraps.com/ I was using the in-game camera...until for some stupid reason AVG thought using the camera was a virus trying to attack my computer. :P. Source: over 2 years ago
Check if your computer is running any background processes, or if there is some kind of I/O bottleneck (for example, if you fill up a hard disk or SSD, write performance will suffer). On Linux you can do this by installing htop and iotop, on Windows you can use this using the Task Manager, I'm not sure about Mac. You can also use something like Fraps (https://fraps.com/) to check your framerate. Also, what... - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
I'd try Fraps, fraps.com. No idea if it would work though, haven't tried. Source: almost 3 years ago
Fraps somehow still exists. It's not the best, but because it was so popular for so long, there is a lot of support and tutorials for all manner of odd resolutions and stuff. Source: almost 3 years ago
I have heard of this but never used it Https://fraps.com/. Source: over 3 years ago
Wow it's been ages since I've seen someone do a frag video with this kind of style editing (original recording muted, sound effects are added afterwards to enhance the shots and kills). Originally in the past it was because sometimes FRAPs or hypercam wasn't compatible with certain sound drivers or other issues, and so the video editors had to post-edit them in, then it was used for artistic effects so it made... I believe the Fraps tool has a screenshot feature. But if mods are somehow interfering with you being able to [Alt]+[Tab] or use something like Bandicam or OBS in the background, Fraps might not work either. I'm not very familiar with mods, but I don't think I've ever heard of mods behaving like that. Source: almost 4 years ago
If you don't have windows 10, there are other programs you can install that will let you take a capture of your screen. One example is Fraps. Https://fraps.com/. Source: almost 4 years ago
I've configured my game options to capture screenshots without the UI. Whenever I need to capture the UI, I use a third party software to do it. Fraps can set up hotkeys of your choice on Windows. It's a nice lightweight tool for screenshots but for video capture, OBS Studio is better. Source: almost 4 years ago
Also recording settings affect the amount of resource required. Afaik fraps works very well with low end systems. OBS is another option but it is heavier than fraps. Try lower recording settings like cpu usage present = ultrafast and lower fps values like 30 or 24. Source: almost 4 years ago
You can also use the free version of FRAPS: https://fraps.com/. Source: almost 4 years ago
Check your frametimes with cl_showfps 2 or some other external benchmarking tool like FRAPS. Source: about 4 years ago
