  I believe the Fraps tool has a screenshot feature.   But if mods are somehow interfering with you being able to [Alt]+[Tab] or use something like Bandicam or OBS in the background, Fraps might not work either.   I've configured my game options to capture screenshots without the UI. Whenever I need to capture the UI, I use a third party software to do it. Fraps can set up hotkeys of your choice on Windows. It's a nice lightweight tool for screenshots but for video capture, OBS Studio is better. Source: almost 4 years ago

  Also recording settings affect the amount of resource required. Afaik fraps works very well with low end systems. OBS is another option but it is heavier than fraps. Try lower recording settings like cpu usage present = ultrafast and lower fps values like 30 or 24. Source: almost 4 years ago
