I have an 11 GB VPS with Windows on it, and it’s running perfectly. I 100% recommend this hosting, because of it’s pricing and support. I give $8.25 a month for an 11 GB VPS. Which would cost up to $55 a month on popular hosting providers like, Linode, Vultr, and Digital Ocean. Source: almost 3 years ago
Anyone that hosts a server using the cloud provider linode.com Do you encounter any limits regarding the CPU speed? Source: almost 3 years ago
One of my best recommendations is to spin up a linux server in the cloud, you can do it for free for a few months from linode.com for example. Setting up an online server for a game you like playing can also be a rewarding learning experience for networking and Linux in general. Source: almost 3 years ago
Then you can buy a VPS from linode.com, katapult.io, contabo.com or hetzner.cloud, I'd recommend a 4gb VPS, and in order to run, it has to be over 2gb. For the OS, choose AlmaLinux or a supported version of CentOS. Source: about 3 years ago
Use VPS, don't use shared web hosting when you generate content as it tends to use lots of resources like RAM, CPU %, and storage. I'd recommend hetzner.com, contabo.com, or linode.com. Source: about 3 years ago
A cheap $5 VPS on linode.com running Docker (with my api, admin site, mongo, and redis) - that's just my test environment though. Source: about 3 years ago
Couple of months ago, I rented a small shared CPU server on linode.com (the smallest package that they had, 1GB ram, 25GB storage only). It was located in Germany and I could access my server using PuTTy (I'm using windows). I used the server to run a python server code that would receive information from players (string of characters), store that information in a text file and send it back to players whenever... Having any debian server should be good for Blacket. If you don't know where to start, I would recommend Linode for beginners. Source: about 3 years ago
For a UK shared host, I'd recommend: https://krystal.uk, for a UK vps, I'd recommend: https://linode.com or https://katapult.io. Source: about 3 years ago
Https://linode.com and https://hetzner.com (herzner is cheaper) are both good and cheaper than azure. Source: about 3 years ago
Linode is slightly more expensive, at $5/gb. Source: about 3 years ago
Https://linode.com is good, their cpu isnt the best but theyre still a decent vps/dedi host. Source: about 3 years ago
Heroku has a free / hobbiest tier that could work. Personally I'd go for Digital Ocean or Linode, I know with linode you can find discount codes online, and you can spin up a pretty decent VPS on the cheap. I run a number of their $5 instances. Digital ocean is much the same, I'm just familiar with Linode. Source: about 3 years ago
Https://linode.com is good and they have $100 free for 3 months if ur broke. Source: over 3 years ago
In this article, we will go over how to deploy a DotNet Core 6.0 Web API endpoint on a cloud server. I will be using Linode as my cloud hosting provider because you can spin up a hosting instance for $5 / month. I will use Cloudflare as my public proxy since they have a free service to proxy incoming requests to an SSL connection. - Source: dev.to / over 3 years ago
Since you have no budget, you can get a managed vps. This means you get cpanel, backups, and everything. You can get this with https://linode.com for around $100 or so more. Source: over 3 years ago
Https://linode.com is fast and great. They also have a lot of datacenter locations and are only like $5 a month. You can get cpanel for $30 extra I think. Source: over 3 years ago
Probably a vps, you can get a 2gb one for $10 with linode but it isnt managed (unless you pay extra). Source: over 3 years ago
If you want to use this, I'd recommend linode or digitalocean. Source: over 3 years ago
I'm cheap while developing. I spend $7 / month at linode.com for a VPS server that runs MySQL and apache webserver. Source: almost 4 years ago
As for alternatives to ec2, I have been very happy with linode (linode.com). Source: almost 4 years ago
