The specific question around costs - one thing you'll have to keep in mind is if you are operating in the USA you will have to have AML compliance and therefore integrate AML/ID verification through a service provider. The one I am fond of is https://passbase.com/ which will cost around $1.40/user - something to factor in when it comes to user growth. Source: almost 3 years ago
Why build when you can buy and use for cheap? APIs will make your life and the life of your user much better. But make sure that you’re picking the right provider. There are some really great options like onfido, authbridge, Passbase. I went with Passbase. I’ve been building a micro trading platform for crypto and I needed something slick, simple, and cost-effective way to verify my users (In India, we need every... Source: almost 3 years ago

I do! We looked at software that can help us do so quickly and efficiently and went with https://passbase.com/ . In just a few lines of code it was set up and functions well. No complaints so far. Source: about 3 years ago
For sure. We spoke with a few KYC services and went with https://passbase.com/ because they were built for crypto. It was pretty easy, basically a few lines of code. Good experience so far. Source: about 3 years ago

I went through the process of speaking with, comparing, and selecting an identity verification service about two months ago. There a few different options: Onfido, Persona, Passbase, etc. Onfido was pretty good in their sales pitch, but have terrible reviews on trustpilot. We went with https://passbase.com and so far so good. Very easy to integrate, good documentation, and fully meets our needs. Good luck. Source: about 3 years ago
I saw you posted on r/ethdev as well... I too have had a good experience with https://passbase.com/ What stood out amongst others I researched was their documentation which made things easy for us. Cheers. Source: about 3 years ago
I was working at a company that used Onfido for KYC and hated it. Poor support and documentation. I was tasked with switching and chose https://passbase.com/ based on documentation and reviews. It was much easier than expected and we didn't have any issues. Best of luck to you! Source: about 3 years ago
Funny, I was JUST talking to a colleague about this. She was saying how she had to implement an Identity software for KYC and wasn't looking forward to it cuz it's always such a hassle to work with these complicated integrations, but she was pleasantly surprised. She told me if I needed to implement identity verification to use Passbase. Don't know if this helps, but it's one confident opinion. Source: about 3 years ago
