Since I managed to get used with this app I can't imagine a day of work without it. Incredible powerful and easy to use / configure.
rcmd is something that could potentially turbocharge your productivity. However! you will need to get used to using it.
My only issue is that I forget about it ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Recommending rCMD for the most efficient way of switching between apps. Source: almost 2 years ago
One less known use case for this is creating animated UI demos, which as a dev I find harder to do using video editing software. I used it to create the simple demo on the rcmd frontpage: https://lowtechguys.com/rcmd This is the code, where I'm just animating elements of an SVG I previously created with Sketch: https://github.com/FuzzyIdeas/lowtechguys/blob/main/src/rcmd/index.plim#L211-L379 But because Lunar's... - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
Also check out my rcmd app (https://lowtechguys.com/rcmd) for more keyboard centric workflows. It’s definitely not as powerful as Witch for windows/tabs but rcmd’s one-key approach is instant for app switching. Witch has some ingenious features indeed: searching browser/editor/terminal tabs, lingering on an app to show its windows etc. I wish Apple would allow this kind of functionality in App Store apps. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
I've found rcmd quite useful for window switching. It lets you use the right command key plus another key to switch applications. Right command + s for Safari, for example. It can also display a switcher that displays the combinations. https://lowtechguys.com/rcmd/. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago

WindowServer is such a behemoth nowadays, it took me ages to reverse engineer how to make rcmd (https://lowtechguys.com/rcmd) control Stage Manager. It’s interesting to see it described as lightweight. I guess every lightweight solution becomes heavy and complex with enough usage. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
This is how we do it for the brightness HUD in Lunar and for the app switcher in rcmd: OSDWindow.swift. Source: about 2 years ago
I also develop rcmd which is a new take on instant app switching without any need for visible cues. Leaving it here in case you're interested in it ^_^. Source: about 2 years ago
That, combined with skhd (for script hotkeys) and my rcmd app (for app switching) gave me a much better solution than the hard to edit config I had in Karabiner. Source: about 2 years ago
Rcmd (Paid) Small little menu bar app that allows you to switch/open an app by a defined Hotkey, The ⌘ command key on the right side of the space bar is almost never used, so we found a clever way to take advantage of it! Hold down rcmd and press the first letter of the app name to focus apps instantly. When pressing the key while the app is already focused, you can choose to hide the app or cycle to the next... I am glad you find it useful. You may not have heard of the app rcmd before but it works nicely with Stage Manager. Might be worth checking out as I found it make Stage Manager a lot more functional. https://lowtechguys.com/rcmd/. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
If anyone is looking for an alternative, you could check out rcmd. It lets you use your right command key (by default anyway) + a letter to switch between apps, pretty lightweight and configurable. But with Raycast doing it, I'm probably switching to that. I think rcmd would mostly be useful if you want a whole lot of app hotkeys, or want them to cycle through various apps on the same key or something. Source: about 2 years ago
Rcmd can also switch to minimized apps, and even launch them if they were quit. Source: about 2 years ago
I’m using rcmd with Meh as the modifier, instead of right command. Source: about 2 years ago
I was also using Karabiner to launch/switch apps instantly but I got tired of editing large configs to add/remap keys to apps. Eventually I wrote rcmd (https://lowtechguys.com/rcmd) to streamline this workflow of switching/launching an app by the first letter of its name. It will dynamically map Right Command + first letter of app name to already running apps, and you can map your own letters by just... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
