There was a different article I was trying to think of earlier when I wrote this comment which eluded me, and it just hit me: a friend of Assange's from University where they were doing mathematics and physics wrote it. Obviously it's a "biased" account, but the public space has been bombarded with hundreds and thousands of biased accounts from the perspective of the powerful people upset by Wikileaks. Here is the... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
Hey, I'm brainstorming for a 2d vector renderer in WebGPU on JS/TS and stumbled on your project [0] yesterday. (Thick) line drawing is especially interesting to me, since it's hard [1]. I also stumbled upon this [2] recently and then wondered if I could use that technique for every shape, by converting it to quadratic bezier curve segments. Do you think that's a path to follow? Unfortunately, accessibility under Linux at least is considered lagging and problematic. Microsoft Windows seems to have better accessibility support all round than Linux. Hehe, I rewatched this just two days ago, it's still very impressive. Had a symbolics relapse after finding about kaveh kardan involvment with them and his blog/snippets https://scribe.rip/@kaveh808/rediscovering-common-lisp-57f5cae8b779. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago

The more web-friendly version: https://scribe.rip/@laurengreerbalik/open-letter-to-the-board-of-directors-of-gitlab-inc-nasdaq-gtlb-462d2ce5a798 I'm guessing one needs to run in those kinds of circles to understand why posting someone's invoice leads to "would be in their rights to sue GitLab Inc. For leaking this information." but yeah, I'm dead sure that GitLab's board of directors hangs out reading Medium... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago

Here's the original source by the author: https://scribe.rip/@bobbyrsec/the-dangers-of-googles-zip-tld-5e1e675e59a5 While I think that we really don't need a .zip domain, this trick falls apart when not shown as an image. Thanks for the feedback! I see the value in summarizing transcriptions and also traditionally paywalled materials as well. Will def look into scribe.rip. For your use case, would you want the summaries to save-able and viewable later? I guess you could already do that by pinning the resulting discord message. Source: about 2 years ago
Maybe scribe.rip fixes that for you? Source: about 2 years ago

Agree. There's a reason there are so many "de-medium-er" scriptlets and browser plugins; to get away from all that crap. Here's the one I use with mostly success:. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years agojavascript:location.href="https://scribe.rip"+location.pathname;
They log a shit ton of user data as well (visitors and creators). My advise is to use a private frontend like scribe[0]. 0. https://scribe.rip. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
I stopped clicking on Medium links a looong time ago, I simply can't stand the X-views paywall. It's not worth it. More recently I started using https://scribe.rip/ (via the Redirector browser plugin) when I absolutely want to read a Medium article, though not on Medium. Once ScribeRIP fails to work I'll just stop reading Medium articles again. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago

If you use Ansible at any larger amount, then you're doing a disservice to yourself if you're not using Mitogen[1][2].
