  • Building BioDetect: Turning a Simple React App into a 3D Butterfly Experience with WebGi
But then came the real game-changer: a 3D animated butterfly. I thought, why not add a visual element that captures the essence of nature’s beauty? I wanted users to feel like they were part of an enchanting world as they scrolled through the app. So I found an incredible 3D butterfly model by TPackard on Sketchfab. - Source: dev.to / 8 months ago
  • Fuzor equipment on demand?
If you need the equipment soon, you can look for available vehicle models on sites such as sketchfab and turbosquid. The models can be imported into Fuzor and the parts animated with sequence animation. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Tips from an artist
4 - Go to sketchfab (https://sketchfab.com/): You'll find 3D models of the most varied things for free so that you can see them from different angles and allow you to draw assertively. No, you're not going to literally take a photo of these guys' 3D work and paste it into your comic. But you can use their incredible work to help you make a gun, for example, without making perspective errors. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How are large vlsi projects' src code organised at big companies?
Most project I know use perforce to store a few terabytes of art data and the game project. Another project used Google Drive for the same purpose. Some groups built entire platforms https://sketchfab.com (Epic Games) or https://github.com/nuxeo-archives/nuxeo-platform-3d (Electronic Arts). - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • 3D Charaina (Body Armour plates) of Guru Gobind Singh Ji
The Sikh Museum Initiative (UK) & sketchfab.com are bringing Sikh history alive through the exploration of Sikh relics and artefacts in 3D, for other good work worth looking https://sketchfab.com/SikhMuseumInitiative. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Illegal animal stuff online: how to resist the urge
I get nearly all of the models I use on Sketchfab. There are a ton of institutions like museums and colleges that are scanning and uploading chunks of their collections and you can find a ton of incredible stuff that's available to download. Pretty much everything uploaded from the scientific community is under some form of creative commons license, and pretty much anything downloadable is good for personal use. I... • Three CNs & the cast that inspired them
One other thing -- sketchfab.com is a good resource for 3d models of points. You have to play around with the keywords to find what you're looking for, but with a little time invested I've found 3d models of pretty much every style I went looking for. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Random Access Memories, now in 3D! (rendered in Blender)
It looks great. You shoukd upload this to Sketchfab. Source: about 2 years ago
  • New idea?

  • Viewing GLTF files on pico 4
Https://sketchfab.com/ has build in WebXR viewer on their website, that might be worth a try, but probably requires for the files to be uploaded to their service to be viewable. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Copyright question: Is CC Attribution enough license to include a model in Creative 2.0?
With sketchfab.com becoming fab most models have a CC Attribution license. Is that license permissive enough for Creative 2.0 maps? How to give credit to the creator of the model in the map? Source: about 2 years ago
  • ren·dez·vous

  • [Hobby] Need help with my game development.
Not an artist but have you checked out Sketchfab? You can filter by different copyright licenses and there are many, many free for commercial use. Sure, you'll have to do some work to adapt those models but for me it's a lifesaver. When you download you can even copy the credits to place in your game. Combine that with Mixamo and you have a good place to start. Source: about 2 years ago
  • 3D Models
Https://sketchfab.com is great for both paid and free models. Just download the models in GLTF format, and it's ready to drag and drop into your slides. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Help with Yolov4 Training and Synthetic Data
In order to use a game engine (or any other 3D software such as Blender) you need a 3D model of the object you want to detect (I am not familiar with workflows using NeRF). If it is a common object it is better to check 3D model sites like Sketchfab. If it is not, and the object is not complex, consider outsourcing modelling through freelance websites. • Here is my Viggen. Please tell me ways to improve my building skills!
Use references! This includes pictures, vidoes, and my personal favorite, 3d models. You can find some great 3d models on sites like Sketchfab or Turbosquid. Most of the time planes wont look the best when they are custom (not saying they all look bad) but if you use a reference you can get a much more natural and practical shape that actually makes sense, and most of the time that makes the plane easier to get... • 3D scanners to create VR video/photo content? How to share on a HMD?
For sharing the best place would be via https://sketchfab.com/ . But viewing it via VR would be a bit clunky though. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Exporting Unity to Blender with components using glTF files (and export to threejs)
