  I'd recommend something like Tartube. It uses yt-dlp as backbone, but all you have to do is copy paste URL and choose format and quality and you're good to go. Works on hundreds of sites. Source: over 2 years ago

  Sites take a ton of measures to prevent people who barely know what they’re doing from going into inspect element and grabbing the video link, you can try youtube-dl or Tartube (more user friendly interface for youtube-dl), but if that doesn’t work you’re probably out of luck.   e.g. - The top Google result, namely MrS0m30n3/youtube-dl-gui seems to be unmaintained - Tartube looks really powerful, but it's not quite what I'd have in mind when thinking about a really nice looking GUI.
