I run on AWS Linux 2 so I control everything (relatively in terms of WordPress). I recently moved from from the older AWS Linux 1 (AMI) which was still going great but was now unsupported as of December 2020. The Linux 1 was a bit rough as they were encouraging users to migrate to the latest release meaning packages were old and outdated. I would have moved earlier but I was unaware and lazy.
