Hey I would suggest you start looking at the website mobbin.design - It should really help you identify what modern apps are looking like. In addition it allows you to filter screens by the different elements that they contain, which is very useful when you are creating a similiar product. There are a ton of institutions like museums and colleges that are scanning and uploading chunks of their collections and you can find a ton of incredible stuff that's available to download.
