> The only major hurdle to this is Apple continuing to treat web apps as second class citizens on iOS If you add a site to iOS' homescreen it automatically becomes a PWA. The best example I found of a site fully leveraging this feature is Cryptee[0]. They talk about the PWA thing here: https://crypt.ee/download [0] https://crypt.ee/. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
Well, then - if self hosting is not your thing - something like crypt.ee might be your thing? Clearly a different pricing model, data is fully encrypted, open source, across platforms. Source: 7 months ago
Https://crypt.ee now. I used to mostly use local markdown editors like Ulysses and Zettlr. Source: 12 months ago
Crypt.ee Ticks 1/2/3/5 of your requirements However free tier only has 100MB storage which might be enough for a journal, it also has the best rich text editor of them all, would highly recommend. Source: about 1 year ago
I've only used it for editing docs but have found crypt.ee very easy to use. Source: about 1 year ago
If you live with an Apple-only pw manager, I really like https://minimalistpassword.com . No separate account needed (syncs through iCloud), uses the system password autofill, no Safari extension or weird permissions. Bitwarden is incredibly clunky IMO. Not worth it. Yes it is cheap, but you get what you pay for. For a cross platform solution, I think KeePass-based pw managers are great. Create a database, set up... - Source: Hacker News / 12 months ago
Also some others worth mentioning are Dashlane, Elpass, Enpass, Keeper, Minimalist, mSecure, Passcodes, Passkeep, Passport, RoboForm, Strongbox, Zoho Vault. Source: about 1 year ago
I don’t mind 1Password turning to the electron platform as much as a UI that’s become bloated, harder to navigate, and the app being much less intuitive than previous versions. I’m primarily considering Minimalist and looking for feedback from current users. Any issues importing data from 1Password? Does it offer a tagging system? Pros, cons? Source: over 1 year ago
There are a few password managers like Minimalist and Strongbox (KeePass ecosystem) that leverage the macOS autofill API but unfortunately it's not a good experience (due to Apple's fault; their apps are great). Both provide one time purchases. Source: over 1 year ago
Minimalist password manager offers both, lifetime license or subscription. Source: almost 2 years ago
