Feedly might be a bit more popular than NewsBlur. We know about 23 links to it since March 2021 and only 21 links to NewsBlur. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
Feedly [0] (web app and on IOS) has been amazing since Google Reader died. On IOS it makes flipping through items and saving them for later a smooth and relatively fast experience. [0] https://feedly.com. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
With the introduction of my blogroll, my morning routine has changed without me having planned it. By displaying the latest blogger posts there by fetsching them while the site is build once a day, I start reading there instead of in my standard feed reader feedly. I no longer subscribe to the 40 blogs currently on my list, but use Read You as a blogroll reader in case I miss something. - Source: dev.to / 9 months ago
Some people enjoy sharing their knowledge on technical areas, blogs remain accessible and effective media. Feedly or Inoreader will allow you to follow the RSS feeds of these websites and consult them at your leisure, so you can follow the specific areas that interest you. - Source: dev.to / 11 months ago
Maybe not a perfect replacement, but have you tried Feedly? https://feedly.com/. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
Pretty sure Feedly is the most popular news aggregator these days. I've been using it for years, and it is great. https://feedly.com/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
As someone who has been on and off the Degoogle train (I ran full LineageOS without Google Play at one point) and is now pretty deep in iOS territory, I'd say the main thing for me has been email. I've used https://www.fastmail.com for a great deal of years now, which is also home to my calendar as well so there's nothing much of value tied to my Google account. YouTube subscriptions would be annoying to lose but... - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
I also use it for its Popular Bookmarks - I subscribed to its RSS feed in NewsBlur and always have something interesting to read when my other feeds are Empty (they rarely are). - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
There's a bunch of replacements. I like https://newsblur.com but there are 4-6 large-ish similar sites. That said, partially what people miss is the relative cultural hegemony of Google Reader. It was RSS front-and-center, prominently featured on websites, supported by the biggest company in tech, with all the users there and able to take advantage of the (sparse) social features. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
Https://newsblur.com/ I think this might be pretty close to what you're looking for. It's an RSS feed reader with a platform for discussions. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
Currently I'm on Newsblur. But it's really convoluted to Self host - to my "shame" I use their cloud hosted app with premium. It's (over)laden with features that I actually use and cheaper than for example Feedly. Source: almost 2 years ago
