Mocks are quick apis you can set up (mockable.io is a popular one) in a couple minutes that can be configured to provide an endpoint and a static response that you tell it to. Using that, you can hit the mock endpoint with your front end code. There are service like this one. https://saucelabs.com/ is one. There used to be browser plugins to simulate a different browser. But as we found out over time: simulates devices aren't true to the real thing, so often you'll just simply run into problems in the simulated device ce that don't occur on the real device, or vice versa.
