  Also don't underestimate the power of a cold email - you can quite easily find emails of relatively famous people (using tools like voilanorbert.com) - add value in the email (counter them with an opposing take on something they've said in the past, comment on a podcast they were on and expand the conversation, give them a book recommendation etc) and ask if they'd like to jump on your pod.   I applied a ton on LinkedIn and reached out to recruiters through there. greenhouse.io is also a good one. Otherwise, Google is your best friend, and I'd hand pick positions that make you apply directly on the company website rather than 3rd party. Source: almost 2 years ago

  I'd say I am not anti social, and I do get along well with people. No problem working in a team or by myself. I definitely get what you're saying though about looking like another It guy, but I just don't know what to edit. I wonder if my resume even makes it to a real person and isn't just being thrown out.
