  • Ask HN: How to transcribe 1000s of handwritten notes
Some good transcription solutions: https://zapier.com/blog/best-text-dictation-software/#windowsspeech https://otter.ai/ (Haven't actually tried Otter, but it gets a LOT of good reviews.). - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago
  • How to build a Google Meet AI assistant app in 10 minutes without coding
Of course, there are many existing solutions like Otter.ai or Fathom in the market. But in case you want to build a tool yourself and customize the output of it, then you are on the same page as me. To develop this application, we will use Unbody to convert input video transcriptions into intelligence/generative content and Appsmith to make it easy to design and build the UI of our app without extensive front-end... - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago
  • I'm looking for a particular type of software and I don't know where else to go.
This is weird but I wonder if you could use something like https://otter.ai/. Record your notes as you are going. That should give you at least text of all of your welds. You’d still have to punch it later. Seems like there’s got to be a better way to do this. Stopping every time to break your flow sounds like a huge pain in the ass. Curious what you come up with. • How I tackled more than 2+ conflicting meetings
Is there any app from otter.ai that you run on personal machine? How does otter.ai process 4 different audio streams? Source: 7 months ago
  • How I tackled more than 2+ conflicting meetings
Job laptop -> 3.5mm aux (this turns into speaker output) -> 3.5mm mic/audio splitter (this turns into microphone input) -> 3.5mm to usb-c adapter (cause my macbook only has 1 3.5mm aux) --> now the personal macbook has a new "mic input" from the job laptop. Which you can use to pipe audio into otter.ai to transcribe audio. You have to manually name them, but they learn in subsequent meetings. Source: 7 months ago

  • Large secluded spot to blast music?
Of course... Your partying needs outweigh the young families trying to get their children to sleep for the primary school two blocks away that drew them to the neighborhood in the first place. There are three primary schools within a few blocks to dealer.com. When the families abandon the neighborhood, and the investors take over.... You think over-priced apartment tenants will also put up with all-night partying... Source: about 1 year ago

Did you know that the 'Get E-Price' button was made by dealer.com? Source: about 1 year ago
  • Where have you seen Moose?
Saw one up on the app gap last year, got a little video of it with my gopro. Remember years ago seeing one right on pine ST in Burlington in that little wooded area near dealer.com plus other all over the place. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Why are dealers still using 20 year old software and processes? [United States]
Almost every dealer around here is using something from Cox automotive. I just looked them up...holy crap they own a ton of consumer sites as well as dealer: Manheim, Autotrader, dealer.com, KBB to name a few. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Something tells me that Carvana going up in North Fort Worth is never going to finish...
Cox is huge in the used car market. Not selling cars directly to consumers but if you do any shopping through kbb, autotrader, dealer.com or half a dozen other sites they're involved. They also own Manheim who runs most of the lease return centers and wholesale auctions around the country. Source: over 1 year ago
