  • Most valuable skills in design?
Before UX, I was an Industrial Designer. I used Solidworks and KeyShot (and some Unreal Engine for Arch Viz). If you don't plan on doing Arch Viz or serious ID, then you should look at other 3D programs that's easier to learn. Check out: https://spline.design/, Adobe's (I forgot which one), or Vectary. I personally prefer Spline. I haven't touched it in awhile though cos I have been coding more lately. Source: 7 months ago
  • Hey guys 👋 i need help what should I have to learn first Blender or Maya .
You could start with Spline right from a web browser for free. It’s fairly new but very approachable for a total 3D newbie and you could offer your work to web builder who need to inject 3D into their websites with ease, and you can export AR experiences for iOS devices. Then you can move up to Blender to create more complex scenes. https://spline.design. Source: 11 months ago
  • Is there a similar tool to this one?
I just started making 3d models and stumbled upon https://spline.design/, this thing is like the Figma of 3D but it paid and I cannot export my models, I have a shitty low-end laptop but it works well (i3 10 gen, 8GB, and SSD) please recommend a tool that has the same functionality keeping in mind my restraints. (I just want to make 3d assets for websites or games and export them in gltf, glb, stl formats). Source: about 1 year ago
  • I made a 3D editor that models in pure CSS+HTML
It's just a cool tech demo that pushes CSS to its limits, but it's completely useless if you want to create usable 3d models. If you want to model in the browser, you can check out vectary, playcanvas, or spline. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Drumscript: A simple MIDI drum machine scripting language
It's linux only, and MIDI only, and it needs GTK2, but yeah, it should work on modern linux. You can use jack[1] to connect the midi output to a softsynth, or another drum software (e.g. Hydrogen[2]) or to actual MIDI hardware. There's a video demo[3] of my program I made 3 years ago. The pasting of drum tab is demoed at 6:20 in the video. [1] https://jackaudio.org/. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
  • Delay on EZDrummer 3 with Millenium mps 850.
Im pretty sure that asio4all drivers dont run on linux, I think its a windows exclusive driver. But I think that JACK is something similar, Im not sure though, since all I have ever used is windows so I havent had a reason to look into it. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Looking an alternative to AudioMulch
If you're looking for a realtime VST Host, I use Carla with the JACK Audio Connection Kit for low-latency EQ and other FX which are realtime on my Microphone, which then get redirected to a virtual microphone (all on Linux, should still be possible on Windows). So far that worked greatly. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Share device audio along with audio call
Jack is supported on main platforms . Make sure to read the wiki . Also, some Realtek drivers has the Stereo-mix option that allows you achieve what you want. If yo have the default audio driver that Windows install it may be missing. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Anyone know if its possible for a moniter with no speakers to **Appear** as a sound source?
Wonder if a virtual audio cable would help. https://jackaudio.org. Source: over 1 year ago
