  • 🤔How do I find out the system requirements for my game (built with Unreal)? 👉 STEAMWORKS Onboarding 👈
Then that can be done on partner.steamgames.com -> Edit Store Page -> Basic Info tab -> Supported Platforms section. You don't have to put any requirements for the sound card btw. Source: about 1 year ago
  • [HELP] Is there a way to find name_id by market_hash_name?
I also tried this weird thing partner.steamgames.com. I thought that it is possible to find name_id by classid but it doesn't work. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Releasing a Web game onto Steam
Go to https://partner.steamgames.com/ and Join steamworks. You can reuse your Steam gamer account or create a new one. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
  • Would anyone want to join my tiny visual novel studio?
I can give you a hand, however. Here's how to get your game added to Steam, PlayStation, and Nintendo. Source: over 1 year ago
  • TIL Tim Sweeney, Epic Games CEO originally wrote 90% of the code for the first Unreal Game Engine and has since used his fortune to protect more than 50,000 acres of forests for conservation purposes
Steamworks offers loads of functionality that developers can leverage to use in their products. Yeah, it's "industry standard", but it's kind of weird to act like it's just a place to list your games. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Where can I find more video game k8s-related content?
Well… Agones is literally designed to address this problem so I guess some companies will be using it. Source: about 1 year ago
  • High availability game server deployed with kubernetes
When I advise my customer(s) I spend quite a bit of time figuring out "where they are" to try and meet them in the same place. Obviously not possible using reddit ;-) So - I'll apologize if this is not helpful, but check out https://agones.dev/site/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • PlayStation wants to get gameservers running on Kubernetes
To be fair, they already use Kubernetes for game servers. They even had a very insightful talk about it at KubeCon EU this year (a day ago actually). Most of the challenges faced by game peculiarities (eg. Cannot kill a game-server pod if a player is connected on it) are tackled with agones. The guy doing the presentation also mentioned they were helping out studios plan for k8s deployments etc. Source: about 1 year ago
  • is there any godot dedicated servers? or tools?
Thank you I looked at nakama and agones before.. .. Nakama is peaty pricey while https://agones.dev/site/ free sadly no godot yet. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Is there an option to keep always X available pods?
You are looking for agones, literally built for game server to solve the problem you are talking about. Once a game server is “allocated” agones won’t try to replace it for upgrades/whatever, and will make a new pod to replace the availability. Source: about 2 years ago
